Does BMW ISTA also work with BMW motorcycles?

Our software package is the OEM solution for all BMW Group engines – including BMW motorcycles such as the R1200RT. The range of functions includes:

  • ISTA-D (Diagnosis): Diagnosis, calibration, battery registration, guided troubleshooting and wiring diagrams
  • ISTA-P (Programming): Coding, programming, module replacement and BMW-approved retrofits

Note: The resolution of certain issues such as deactivating the diesel fuel shut-off cannot be guaranteed, as this depends on factors such as the procedure or modules used. We are a software company and are happy to help you as much as possible.

Is BMW coding possible on the E46?

Yes! For coding and programming on the BMW E46, you need ISTA-P. For individual BMW coding, we also offer the following tools:

  • E-Sys – Coding for F/G-Series
  • NCS Expert – Coding for E-Series
  • ISTA – Diagnosis and programming
  • INPA – Diagnosis for E-Series

Which diagnostic cable do I need for BMW E-Series and F-Series?

Professional use – ICOM Interface:

  • ICOM A – for BMW F-Series
  • ICOM A + ICOM B – for BMW E-Series (ICOM B required for access to MOST modules)
  • ICOM A + B + C – for BMW E-Series models before 2001

Private use – cheaper alternative:

  • K+DCAN USB cable – for BMW E-Series
  • ENET cable – for BMW F-Series

With K+DCAN and ENET cables, you can diagnose most modules, register batteries, read & clear fault codes, and code and program. For full coverage of all modules, ICOM A and ICOM B are required.

Is the software compatible with British BMW vehicles?

Yes! This is a global version of BMW diagnostic software – compatible with all BMW vehicles worldwide, including those registered in the UK.
