With the BMW Navi Update NEXT 2025, you can update your BMW navigation system to the latest version. The current BMW map update includes new roads, traffic guidance, and points of interest for all of Europe – including the FSC activation code, digital download, no workshop visit necessary.

Quick Guide – How to install the BMW NEXT Map Update
1. Prepare a 32 GB USB stick with the map data
2. Plug the USB stick into the vehicle and upload the current map data to the navigation system

If it says EVO – then only EVO will fit. Each BMW navigation system is permanently assigned; other versions are not compatible.

How do I find out if my BMW has the NEXT navigation system?
In the vehicle, go to: Navigation → Map → Settings → Version Information. If it says "NEXT", this update is suitable. If in doubt, simply send your VIN – we will check for free.
What is the difference between NEXT and EVO?
NEXT is for older BMW models (approx. 2012–2016) with the NBT navigation system, EVO for newer models with NBT EVO. They are not compatible with each other – each vehicle has exactly one permanently assigned system.
What is an FSC code?
The FSC code is a vehicle-specific activation key from BMW, generated based on your VIN. Without this code, the BMW map update cannot be activated. It is permanently valid – also for future NEXT updates.
How long does the installation take?
Between 30 and 90 minutes. The ignition must be switched on – the vehicle does not have to be running.
What happens if I buy the wrong update?
The navigation system automatically recognizes whether the update is compatible. A wrong update cannot be installed and will not cause any damage. Send us your VIN – we will check for free.
How quickly will I receive the download link?
