With the BMW Navi Update ROUTE 2026, you can update your BMW navigation system to the latest version. The current BMW map update for EntryNav ROUTE includes new roads, traffic guidance, and points of interest for all of Europe – including an FSC activation code, simple activation via VIN directly in the vehicle, no workshop visit necessary.

How to install

1. Prepare a 32 GB USB stick with the map material
2. You will receive the navigation data + FSC code from us – unpack the files with WinRAR directly onto your USB stick
3. Plug the USB stick into the vehicle – the system will automatically start installing the new map material
4. Follow the instructions on the display – the update starts automatically

Note: A Windows computer is required – Mac is not compatible.

What is an OEM FSC code?

The OEM FSC code is absolutely necessary for the activation of your BMW navigation update. It ensures the correct function of the navigation software and is included in the scope of delivery. Without this code, the update will not work. The FSC code is generated based on your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and is permanently valid.

How do I find out if my BMW has the ROUTE navigation system?
In the vehicle, go to: Navigation → Map → Settings → Version Information. If it says "ROUTE", this update is suitable. If in doubt, simply send your VIN – we will check for free.

What is the difference between ROUTE and NEXT?
ROUTE is for BMW models with the EntryNav HU-B system, NEXT for models with the NBT navigation system. They are not compatible with each other – each vehicle has exactly one permanently assigned system.

What is the difference between WEST and EAST versions?
WEST covers mainly Western Europe completely, EAST covers Eastern Europe completely. Choose the version that matches your driving region.

How long does the installation take?
Between 30 and 90 minutes. The ignition must be on – the vehicle does not need to be running.

Is the FSC code also valid for the next update?
Yes – the FSC code remains permanently valid for all future ROUTE updates until 2030 and beyond.

The update only works with the corresponding navigation version – ROUTE is not compatible with other versions. The navigation device must be in perfect condition. Does not work with retrofitted, defective or inactive navigation systems.
