Frequently asked questions – BMW PREMIUM map update 2025-2
How do I find out if my BMW has the PREMIUM navigation system?
Go to the following in your vehicle: Navigation → Settings → Version Information. If it says "PREMIUM" or "CIC," this update is compatible. If in doubt, just send us your VIN – we will check for free.
What is the difference between PREMIUM WEST and PREMIUM EAST?
WEST provides full coverage mainly for Western Europe, while EAST provides full coverage for Eastern Europe. Both versions are not interchangeable – choose the version that suits your driving region.
Is the FSC code also valid for future updates?
Yes – the FSC code remains valid indefinitely and can be reused for all future PREMIUM map updates.
How long does the installation take?
Between 30 and 60 minutes. The ignition must be switched on – the engine does not need to be running.
What happens if I buy the wrong update?
The navigation system automatically detects whether the update is compatible. An incorrect update cannot be installed and will not cause any damage. Send us your VIN – we will check for free.
