Which update is right for my BMW?
Check your current navigation version directly in the vehicle. If it displays WAY, EVO, LIVE, JOY, West, Next, MOTION, MOVE, PREMIUM or USB, the corresponding update is suitable. If it says EVO for your vehicle – then only EVO is compatible. Each BMW navigation system is permanently assigned; other versions are not compatible.

How do I find out if my BMW has the EVO navigation system?
In the vehicle, go to: Navigation → Map → Settings → Version Information. If it says "EVO", this update is suitable. When in doubt, just send us your VIN – we will check for free.
What is the difference between EVO and WAY?
EVO is for older BMW models with NBT EVO iDrive 5/6, WAY for newer models with EntryNav2. They are not compatible with each other – each vehicle has exactly one permanently assigned system.
What is an OEM FSC code?
The OEM FSC code (Feature Software Certificate) is an original BMW activation key generated specifically for your vehicle based on your VIN. Without this code, the BMW map update cannot be unlocked. It is permanently valid – also for future EVO updates.
How long does the installation take?
Between 30 and 90 minutes. The ignition must be switched on – the vehicle does not have to be running.
What happens if I buy the wrong update?
The navigation system automatically detects whether the update is compatible. A wrong update cannot be installed and will not cause any damage. Send us your VIN – we will check for free.
How quickly will I receive the download link?
Usually within a few hours after receipt of payment and VIN check via email.
