Setting up EDIABAS v7.7.x – ICOM Next, ENET & DCAN Configuration
In this guide, we will explain how to correctly set up EDIABAS v7.7.x for ICOM Next, ENET and DCAN – without damaging your ISTA installation.
Changing EDIABAS settings – ECC.exe (EDIABAS Configuration Center)
To change EDIABAS settings with newer versions, use the included tool ECC.exe (EDIABAS Configuration Center).
Important: To avoid destroying the ISTA communication set, always set the following value in ediabas.ini or via ECC.exe:
- LoadWin64=1
EDIABAS Configuration – Which setting for which cable?
BMW E-Series – K+DCAN Cable:
- Setting in ECC.exe: RPLUS:ICOM_P for DCAN
BMW F-Series and newer models – ENET Cable:
- Setting in ECC.exe: Use ENET with ICOM settings
Important Warning – Do not use EasyConnect!
Never use EasyConnect with newer EDIABAS versions! EasyConnect corrupts the ediabas.ini file and can damage your entire EDIABAS installation.

- ✓ Use ECC.exe to change settings
- ✓ Always set LoadWin64=1 in ediabas.ini
- ✓ E-Series: RPLUS:ICOM_P for DCAN
- ✓ F-Series & newer: ENET with ICOM settings
