With the modern BMW Motorrad diagnostic software based on the BMW ISIS/ICOM diagnostic platform, BMW motorcycle owners can now perform all dealer-level diagnostic and programming tasks themselves – with nothing more than a laptop, the appropriate software, and a special ICOM diagnostic cable.
With the older GT1 diagnostic software, it was not possible to diagnose BMW motorcycle models. With the introduction of the BMW ISTA diagnostic software, this has fundamentally changed.
What can you do with the BMW Motorrad diagnostic software?
By installing BMW ISTA and the recommended ICOM interface cable, you can perform all tasks that normally only a BMW dealer can perform:
- Read and clear fault codes from all motorcycle control units
- Code and program BMW motorcycle control units
- Perform service reset and reset maintenance intervals
- Monitor live data and sensor values in real-time
- Full system diagnosis at dealer level

- BMW ISTA Diagnostic Software – for diagnosis and programming
- ICOM Diagnostic Cable – special interface for BMW motorcycles (ICOM D adapter)
